It gives us great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 16th Annual Mayor's Back to School Fair to be held on Thursday, August 2, 2012.
For more than a decade, the Mayor's Back to School Fair has been a
successful collaboration between the City of Dallas, local school
districts, the public health department, state agencies, non-profits,
corporate sponsors, volunteers and private citizens.
With the community's help, last year the Mayor's Back to
School Fair provided tens of thousands of economically disadvantaged school
children in Dallas with free school supplies, immunizations
and other resources necessary to help ensure their academic success.
Due to the existing economic conditions, it is almost
certain that there will be a greater number of families participating
in the Fair this year.
We would like to enlist your financial support in making the free
school supplies available to the children of families who fall within
the 2012 Poverty Level Guidelines and also reside in the City of
Dallas.
Please join us in helping these children in our city with a simple,
yet great resource – the supplies they need to go back to school.
We hope you will consider supporting this very worthwhile program.
