As Mayor of Dallas, I am passionate about ensuring a quality education for our city’s children. That is why I am asking for your help preparing students and their families for the upcoming school year.
The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has challenged families across our city, and many children will soon begin classes again either virtually or in person.
That is why I am thrilled to announce we will continue the tradition and hold the 25th Annual Dallas Mayor’s Back to School Fair on Friday, August 6, 2021! This annual tradition has helped thousands of students start the school year with the supplies and essentials required by the Dallas Independent School District.
Despite the pandemic and uncertainty last year, we successfully conducted the first ever drive-thru fair and provided 9,000 students with school supplies! This year’s Back to School Fair will look a lot like last year. We will conduct a drive-thru as well as a abbreviated walk-up event for parents and students to receive their school supply packs and, as in the past, families will need to meet certain income requirements and must be Dallas residents. All guests will be required to pre-register through the website.
This program cannot exist without our wonderful sponsors. It is my hope that you will join this effort as a sponsor by providing a cash donation, which will cover the costs of school supplies and cost of the fair. The attached document outlines various benefits at each sponsorship level, or we are happy to personalize a package around your priorities.
Alison McIntosh and her team are handling the sponsorships and can be reached at 214-520-2194 or MayorsFair@McIntoshCompany.com.
Thank you so much for your interest in participating in this year’s Mayor’s Back to School Fair! In addition to a monetary sponsorship, we are looking for in-kind contributions such as discount codes, vouchers, coupons, and free services to provide students and their families. We welcome your consideration to help in any capacity!
Thank you for consideration
